Yvonne Jegede Weeps Over Nigeria’s Insecurity, Pleads for Presidential Intervention

Date:

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has shared a series of emotional Instagram Stories expressing profound fear, frustration, and exhaustion over the recent surge in violence and insecurity across Nigeria.

In the clips, the actress is seen weeping as she reacts to the difficult state of the nation. She lamented the country’s decline, writing:

“And that’s how the giant of Africa fell, and turned to an ant.”

Jegede questioned the silence of the leaders and made a direct, emotional plea for urgent presidential intervention:

“Can the president even just step in, to save shame to ask them to at least stop the k!lling until his tenure is over? Is the economical and social suffering alone not enough to make you people have sympathy? Is there nobody out there with sympathy?”

She concluded her message by expressing her profound weariness:

“I am exhausted. I am tired.”

In the caption of the weeping video, she urged citizens to unite:

“My heart is shattered… We are all we have left, so we have to stand up for each other. #NigeriaIsBleeding”
