Iyabo Ojo Returns to Nigeria After Daughter’s Wedding in Tanzania, Prepares for Grand Celebrations

Date:

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has returned to Nigeria following the first phase of her daughter Priscilla Ojo’s wedding in Tanzania. The actress, popularly known as Queen Mother, was given a surprise welcome home party by her close friends and sisters, a gesture that left her overwhelmed.

Sharing a video of the celebration on Instagram, she wrote, “I’m speechless! I thought I was the only ‘extra’ one, but my friends and sisters just took it to a whole new level! This surprise welcome back home party was everything and more! I’m still reeling from the shock – I never saw it coming! Thank you, each and every one of you, for this heartfelt, warming, and wonderful surprise! I’m truly grateful. God bless you all! I love you all!”

Priscilla Ojo, the daughter of the Nollywood star, recently tied the knot with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in a traditional ceremony in line with the groom’s customs. The wedding was followed by Jux’s second proposal to Priscilla before her family and close friends, featuring a ring that was said to be twice the size of the previous one.

The couple later had a civil wedding in Tanzania, and Iyabo Ojo took to Instagram to announce the successful completion of the first three ceremonies. She wrote, “Three done and dusted, three to go! Nigeria, get ready! We’re shutting down two ceremonies in April! It’s going to be epic!”

The celebrations are far from over as the family prepares for two major events in Nigeria, including the traditional and white weddings scheduled for April. The final leg of the wedding festivities will take place in Tanzania in May, marking the grand finale of what has been described as one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings of the year.

Expressing her gratitude to those who attended the Tanzanian leg of the celebrations, Iyabo Ojo stated, “To everyone who flew in to celebrate the beautiful union of my daughter, Priscilla, and son, Juma, I’m forever grateful! The three-part celebration was a resounding success, and I give God all the glory. Next, we have two more exciting events: the traditional and white weddings in April, both in Nigeria, followed by the grand finale party in Tanzania in May! May we live to witness our children celebrate their own milestones.”

The hashtag #JP2025 has gained traction on social media, with fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming events. With the extravagant wedding plans in motion, Priscilla and Juma Jux’s union continues to capture the attention of many, setting the stage for what promises to be a memorable series of celebrations.
