Brother Killed Over Minor Dispute as Anambra Police Arrest Suspect

Anambra State Police Command has arrested a man, Christian Ndubuisi, for allegedly killing his elder brother during a dispute at the 3-3 area of the state.

According to the police, operatives attached to the 3-3 Divisional Headquarters swiftly responded to a report on February 15, 2025, leading to the arrest of the suspect. Preliminary investigations revealed that during an argument, Ndubuisi broke a bottle and fatally stabbed his brother. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

The Commissioner of Police, *CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD*, described the incident as a tragic reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and anger management. He expressed concern over how a minor disagreement escalated into a deadly confrontation.

In response to the development, CP Orutugu has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for further investigation, assuring that justice will be served.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, reiterated the commitment of the Anambra State Police Command to ensuring law and order, urging residents to seek peaceful means of settling disputes.
