Nigerian Comedian Laff Ijuo Albert Completes 50-Hour Guinness World Record Attempt

Date:

Nigerian entertainer Laff Ijuo Albert has completed his bid to set a Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest stand-up comedy show by an individual.

Albert began the 50-hour marathon performance on February 14 at Banex Mall in Lekki, Lagos, and concluded it on Sunday. His achievement is now pending official verification and confirmation by the GWR.

Sharing a video of the moment he reached the milestone on his Instagram page, Albert revealed that he embarked on the challenge to raise $1 million for the Talent City Naija (TCN) project.

The current record for the longest stand-up comedy show is held by American comedian David Scott, who performed for 40 hours and 8 minutes on April 30, 2013. If confirmed, Albert’s feat will set a new global benchmark in the category.
