American singer Taylor Swift has made streaming history by becoming the first female artist to surpass 100 billion streams on Spotify.
A check on her Spotify account confirms that Swift has reached the milestone, making her the first woman in history to achieve this feat.
According to music statistics platform Chart Masters, Swift is the second-highest earner on Spotify over the past 12 months, with earnings of $7,713,106. She is only behind Canadian rapper Drake, who earned $7,717,904.
Last year, Forbes declared Swift the first musician to reach billionaire status solely from music and performances. Earnings from streaming royalties played a significant role in her $1.6 billion fortune.
