Anambra Youth Commissioner Inspects Entrepreneurship Training Centres

Date:

Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Aghamba, has urged beneficiaries of the 2024/2025 Batch A and B entrepreneurship training under the 1 Youth 2 Skills initiative to remain diligent and committed to the program.

Mr. Aghamba gave the charge during his inspection of Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (EDI) across Awka, where the training is ongoing in over 600 centres across the state.

Among the centres visited were UNIZIK Business School, Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Awka, IDK Training Centre, Kachukwu Training Centre, and Anambra Film Village, where participants are undergoing training in various skills, including filmmaking.

The commissioner described the initiative as key to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of empowering youths, noting that the governor has surpassed his promise of producing 1,000 youth millionaires annually, with over 5,000 youths empowered in the first phase and 11,000 enrolled in the second phase set to graduate by July.

Beneficiaries, including Godswill Enujioke from Okpuno, Chinedu Chika from Umuomaku, and Chinwe Onwuama from Awka, described the program as life-changing and expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo, promising to extend the knowledge to other youths in their communities.
