Anambra Government, LG Authorities Distribute 350 Telemedicine Gadgets to Health Centers

The Anambra State Government, in collaboration with the 21 Local Government Authorities, has distributed 350 telemedicine communication gadgets to 329 primary health care centers and health facilities across the state.

During the distribution event at Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area, the Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Pharmacist Chisom Uchem, stated that the initiative reflects Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to providing accessible, efficient, and affordable healthcare. She urged beneficiaries to utilize the equipment effectively.

Speaking on behalf of the Mayor of Awka South, Deputy Mayor Chief Paul Ifeme appreciated the governor’s focus on healthcare development and emphasized the need for proper management of the gadgets to ensure their intended impact.

Also present was Dr. Augustine Ikezue, a representative of the Ward Development Committee from Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area. He commended the state government for introducing telemedicine gadgets in hospitals and called for increased media sensitization on immunization to enhance public awareness and coverage.
