Salah Leads African World Cup Qualifiers Scoring Chart with Five Goals

Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah is currently the top scorer in the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers.

Salah has netted five goals, helping Egypt secure 10 points to lead Group A after four matches. The Pharaohs are four points ahead of Guinea-Bissau and five clear of Burkina Faso.

He shares the top spot with teammate Mahmoud Trezeguet, who has also scored five times.

Ghana’s Jordan Ayew follows closely with four goals, as the Black Stars sit second in Group I, level on nine points with leaders Comoros but behind on goal difference.

A group of players, including Morocco’s Ayoub El Kaabi, Gabon’s Denis Bouanga, Mali’s Kamory Doumbia, and Zambia’s Patson Daka, have all scored three goals so far.
