Anambra Police Commissioner Assures State’s Safety, Celebrates Cultural Display

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has reaffirmed that the state remains safe for visitors and tourists. He highlighted the recent cultural display by his community, Okpoama Kingdom in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, as proof of the state’s security and hospitality.

The event, attended by dignitaries, including respected chiefs from Bayelsa and the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Gilbert Onyekachukwu Ibezim, underscored the importance of cultural unity and cooperation. CP Orutugu emphasized that Anambra remains an attractive destination, with its rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and vibrant festivals.

He also extended his felicitations to the Christian community on Mothering Sunday and the Muslim faithful as they mark Eid al-Fitr.
