Anambra Assembly Commends Progress on Ekwulobia, Oko Flood Control Project

The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has praised the ongoing flood control project in Ekwulobia and Oko, describing its progress as commendable despite weather challenges.

Chairman of the committee, Engr. Emma Nwafor, who represents Orumba South Constituency, made this known during an oversight visit to the project site. He emphasized the importance of the project in addressing persistent flooding in the area.

Engr. Nwafor reiterated the committee’s commitment to ensuring high-quality and timely completion of infrastructure projects across the state. He assured that the Assembly would continue to monitor developments to guarantee compliance with standards.

Engr. Omamofo Ken-Wiwa, representing the construction company handling the project, acknowledged the government’s support and assured the lawmakers that the project would be executed according to specifications. He noted that while rain posed a challenge, the company remained committed to delivering a durable and effective flood control system for the affected communities.
