Yul Edochie Writes Open Letter to President Tinubu on Worsening Insecurity and Economic Crisis

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has publicly shared an open letter addressed to President Bola Tinubu, expressing deep apprehension over the critical issues of escalating insecurity and unbearable economic hardship currently plaguing Nigerian citizens.

The letter, which was shared on social media, serves as a direct challenge to the administration’s core promise of “renewed hope”.

Edochie outlined several critical issues he believes demand immediate intervention. He stated that bandits are “gradually taking over the whole country,” and are “spilling the blood of Nigerians at will without consequences”. He further highlighted the crisis of abduction, noting that “Nigerians are being kidnapped in numbers daily”.

The actor also focused on the cost of living, stressing that “Things are so expensive,” and that “the suffering is unbearable for Nigerians”. Edochie concluded his message by directly questioning the administration: “Is this the renewed hope you promised Nigerians?”.
