Sympathizers and associates gathered in Amawbia to commiserate with Hon. Sir Willie Nwokoye, former Principal Secretary to the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, as he buried his mother, Late Mrs. Felicia Nwokoye, who passed on at the age of 90.
Among those present were former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano; Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, alongside his wife, Lady Prisca Umeh; Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Awka North and South, Hon. Prof. Lilian Oby Orogbu; Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye; former Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Ozomkpu Uche Nworah, and other dignitaries.
Senator Umeh, who shared a bond with Sir Willie Nwokoye from their days at Bubendorf Memorial Grammar School, Adazi-Nnukwu, praised the family for their dedication in caring for their mother, especially during her health challenges. He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and divine comfort for the bereaved family.
