Galatasaray Confirm Ankle Injury for Victor Osimhen After Nigeria Duty

Date:

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have issued an update on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen following his recent injury.

Osimhen sustained the setback while on international duty with the Super Eagles, forcing him off in the 35th minute of Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Rwanda, where he was replaced by Cyriel Dessers. The injury also ruled him out of tonight’s crucial clash against South Africa in Bloemfontein.

In a statement on their official website, Galatasaray confirmed that the 26-year-old suffered an ankle sprain and is currently receiving treatment.

The club is preparing to face Eyupspor in the league this weekend before kicking off their UEFA Champions League campaign away to Eintracht Frankfurt next week.
