A young lady has shared the heartbreaking moment she suddenly lost her mother while they were traveling home, leaving social media users in shock and tears.
In a viral TikTok video, the lady (@eastside_goddess01) recounted that her mother seemed perfectly healthy when they visited a friend. The tragedy occurred on their way home while riding in a tricycle (keke).
The daughter initially believed her mother was simply asleep when she rested her head on her shoulder.
Narrating the traumatic moment, she recalled:
“On the 25th August 2019… I went with my mum to visit her friend, and she was healthy and sound. On our way home inside keke, my mum lay her head on my shoulder. I thought she was sleeping, not knowing she’s dead.”
She only realized something was wrong a few minutes later when she noticed her mother was not breathing and saw food coming out of her nose and mouth. “Dats when I started shouting, but it was late already. I miss you so much mum,” she wrote.
She later admitted in the comments that the experience left her deeply “traumatized.”
