A Nigerian woman, Nims Afemai, has shared the reason she walked out of her marriage to a polygamous husband.
In a Facebook post shared on Monday, Afemai explained that the discovery happened after she returned home from a one-month trip to Kaduna. Despite her husband already having another wife, she found evidence that he had brought someone else into their home.
“I traveled to Kaduna for one month, came back and met used condom in the waste bin from a man who has another wife o,” she wrote.
She didn’t hesitate to end the union, adding: “I packed and left the next day.”
Her story has since gone viral, sparking a wider discussion on social media about infidelity and the “red lines” women draw in marriages.
