Man Shares How Armed Kidnappers Almost Abduct Bus Passengers

Date:

A Nigerian man has gone viral after sharing a harrowing experience of narrowly avoiding a kidnapping while traveling on an interstate bus.

The account, relayed through a voice note sent by a friend who survived the attack, has drawn significant attention on social media.

According to the survivor, what started as an ordinary trip from Enugu to Kogi quickly turned into a terrifying ordeal.

The bus was suddenly ambushed by armed assailants, throwing passengers into a state of panic.

The survivor described the kidnappers’ methodical actions, noting that shots were fired at the vehicle, damaging a tyre and breaking parts of the bus, which forced passengers to comply with their orders.

Passengers were instructed to lie down immediately, with threats made against anyone who hesitated, ensuring no resistance.

Once they had control, the kidnappers led the passengers into a nearby forested area.

The survivor narrated:

“This was how it happened. As we were going from Enugu and passed through Kogi, they shot us. As they shot us, I think it was the tyre they shot, I don’t even know because I heard a sound like the tyre got burst. You understand? As we wanted to turn, they shot our glass too. Everybody got scared. They said everybody should lie down, lie down, lie down, lie down. If you waste more time now, they’ll flog you. That’s how they carried us into the bush.”
