Onitsha Business School, ISAAC Hold First Graduation for Entrepreneurship Trainees

The Onitsha Business School (OBS) and its Industrial Skill Acquisition and Application Centre (ISAAC) have held their maiden graduation ceremony for students at the school’s premises in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The event, themed “Building Entrepreneurial Capacity for Redefining the African Economy,” saw the graduation of 89 students from ISAAC’s Stream 1 and Stream 2 batches.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Olusegun Sogbesan, the founder, Director General, and chairman of the governing council of Onitsha Business School, said ISAAC was established to help Nigerian graduates develop entrepreneurial skills related to their fields of study while integrating indigenous knowledge for economic transformation.

The Registrar of Onitsha Business School, Dr. Sylvanus Izebhokhae, explained that the institution operates through three centers: ISAAC, where graduates receive entrepreneurial training; the Obi Nnaemeka Achebe Indigenous Management Centre (ONALIM C); and the Professional Centre.

The event attracted notable dignitaries, including keynote speaker Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Okonkwo, Special Assistant to the Anambra State Governor on Youth Development, Engr. Emeka Tony Omata, Commissioner for Youths Patrick Agha Mba, Onitsha North Mayor Hon. Tony Nworah, and others.

As part of the celebration, some dignitaries awarded grants of N500,000 and N300,000 to ten graduating students.
