Orumba South Native Doctors Endorse Soludo’s Crackdown on Crime-Enabling Practices

Date:

Native doctors in Orumba South Local Government Area, under the umbrella of “Odinala Orumba South,” have declared their support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s campaign against crime enablers by embarking on an oath-taking exercise to identify and flush out bad elements among them.

The exercise, held at Izo Mmili shrine in Umunze, followed a meeting organized by the Mayor of Orumba South Council Area, Honourable Shedrack Azubuike, with native doctors and *ndi eze nwanyi* to sanitize traditional practices in the area.

Chairman of Odinala Orumba South, Mr. Christian Umeh, said the group had previously expelled bad members and would continue the practice, especially after the Mayor’s directive for non-indigenous native doctors to leave the area unless engaged in other businesses.

Some participants, including John Ahamkonye, Paschal Okeke, Benjamin Nwankwo, and Kelechi Emere, expressed satisfaction with the Governor’s efforts and pledged their support for the initiative.

The Akajiofo of Izo Mmili deity, Nze Christopher Ojeanya, affirmed the shrine’s effectiveness, stating that the community is united in making Orumba South and Anambra safer.

Representing the Mayor at the event, Mr. Kingsley Nwabueze described the initiative as part of the ongoing cleansing exercise championed by Governor Soludo to rid the state of crime.
