Osimhen’s Brace Leads Galatasaray to Victory Over Fenerbahce in Turkish Cup

Date:

Victor Osimhen put on a dazzling display on Wednesday, scoring twice to secure a 2-1 victory for Galatasaray over Fenerbahce in the final stage of the Turkish Cup, eliminating José Mourinho’s side from the competition.

Osimhen gave Galatasaray the lead in the 10th minute with a precise strike from the edge of the box. He then doubled the advantage in the 27th minute, converting a penalty to make it 2-0 before halftime.

Fenerbahce responded just before the break, with Sebastian Szymański scoring in first-half stoppage time (45+1’) to pull one back. Despite several late attempts to equalize, including substitutions in the 90+2 minute, Mourinho’s side could not find the equalizer, and Galatasaray held firm to secure the win.
