Pregnant Woman, Children Among 11 Abducted as Bandits Attack Kwara

Tension has gripped the Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State after a violent bandit attack on Monday evening, November 24, 2025, resulted in the mass abduction of residents.

The attackers, numbering between 20 and 30 armed bandits, stormed the area around 6 pm, reportedly moving with a large herd of cattle and shooting indiscriminately. An elderly woman was struck by a stray bullet during the invasion.

Victims and Details
A community leader confirmed that 11 people were abducted, including seven members of the same family.

The victims taken into the bush reportedly include:

A pregnant woman

Two nursing mothers

Several children/minors

The abducted victims were identified as Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat, Fatima Yusufu, Sarah Sunday (the pregnant woman), Lami Fidelis (nursing mother), and Haja Na Allah.

The incident occurred close to Eruku, another Kwara community that recently suffered a deadly raid where terrorists attacked a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), killing three worshippers and abducting several others.

Residents reported finding spent AK-47 shells across Isapa after the gunmen retreated, highlighting the violence of the latest invasion.
