Veteran soul and R&B singer, Angie Stone, has died at the age of 63 following a Sprinter van accident in Alabama, United States.
The accident happened early in the morning as she was leaving a performance in Montgomery.
Her daughter, Diamond Stone, confirmed the news on social media, writing, “My mummy is gone.”
Stone’s representative, Deborah R. Champagne, also verified her passing.
Angie Stone gained prominence as a member of The Sequence, the first all-female group signed to Sugar Hill Records, before launching a successful solo career.
