Three Anambra Native Doctors Remanded Over Alleged Criminal Ritual Activities

Anambra State High Court has ordered the remand of three native doctors accused of preparing charms for criminals and participating in money rituals. The accused, Chidozie Nwangwu (popularly known as Akwa Okuko Tiwara Ki), Onyebuchi Okocha (Onyeze Jesus), and Ekene Igboekweze (Eke Hit), were arraigned before Justice Jude Obiorah on Friday.

Their arraignment comes about a month after their initial arrest and detention. During the court proceedings, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.

Justice Obiorah directed that the three be remanded at the state correctional facility pending the continuation of the trial. The case has been adjourned to April 11, 2025.
