Tinubu Appoints Idris Olorunnimbe as UBEC Chairman

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Idris Olorunnimbe as the Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Board.

Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga announced the appointment in a statement on Monday.

Olorunnimbe previously served on the Board of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), where he chaired the Stakeholder and Governance Committees, playing a key role in youth employment and entrepreneurship programs.

Tinubu also appointed Rasaq Olajuwon from the South-West as UBEC Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) and Tunde Ajibulu from the North-Central as Deputy Executive Secretary (Services).

In a related development, the president named Mohammed Mohammed Aminu as the new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) on Monday.
