Two Arrested In Lagos For Alleged Naira Abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested two individuals in Lagos for alleged abuse of the Naira.

The suspects, identified as Adeoti Folake and Adewuyi Modupe, were apprehended by operatives of the Lagos Directorate 1 of the EFCC on Friday, March 21, 2025, while allegedly hawking Naira notes.

During the arrest, officials recovered N3,850,000 from Folake and N1,600,000 from Modupe.

The EFCC stated that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
