Famous Nigerian musicians Wizkid and Davido have emerged as winners at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards, securing prestigious honors at the 56th edition of the event.
The winners were announced on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Wizkid clinching the ‘Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration’ award for his song with Brent Faiyaz. This marks Wizkid’s sixth NAACP Image Award, making him the most awarded Nigerian artiste in the history of the event.
Davido also took home an award in the ‘Outstanding International Song’ category for his collaboration with American singer Chris Brown.
Meanwhile, other Nigerian nominees, including Tems and Burna Boy, lost in their respective categories.
The NAACP Image Awards, organized by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), celebrate outstanding achievements in arts and media, recognizing excellence across film, television, music, and literature.
