Governor Soludo Gives Two-Week Deadline to Roadside Traders at Ekwulọbịa Flyover

Date:

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has issued a two-week ultimatum to roadside traders at the newly constructed Ekwulọbịa Flyover, directing them to vacate the area to ensure public safety and maintain the structure’s aesthetics.

The governor made the announcement during an inspection visit to the area, urging the traders to relocate to the alternative marketplace provided by the state government along the same road. He assured that interested traders could register for free at the Aguata Local Government Area headquarters.

Governor Soludo explained that the directive was necessary to prevent traffic congestion, safety risks, and the defacement of the newly completed flyover, which was built to ease traffic flow in the growing urban center.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local businesses but stressed that orderliness and safety must come first. Plans are already underway to assist the traders in relocating to designated markets within the area.
