Comedians in Anambra State, under the banner of the Anambra Comedians and MCs Association, have thrown their weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s clean, healthy, and conducive environment campaign through a sanitation exercise in Awka and its environs.
The exercise, which took place at Aroma and Eke-Awka Market, aimed to support the state’s urban renewal and development agenda.
Speaking after the exercise, the Commissioner for Environment, Engineer Felix Odimegwu, and the Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, urged residents to prioritize environmental cleanliness and avoid harmful practices that endanger the ecosystem.
The President of the association, Mr. Wisdom Udemba, popularly known as MC Zanzino, alongside the Vice President, Mr. Pascal Nadi (Doctor Mmilioma), and the Awka Coordinator, Mr. Valentine Obinwanne (Onyeobodo), emphasized the importance of collective action in transforming Anambra into a clean, green, and healthy mega city.
They encouraged Ndi Anambra to adopt sustainable practices, noting that human activities are directly linked to environmental health.
