Anambra Government Launches Geographic Information System for Land Management

Date:

The Anambra State Government has officially launched the Anambra Geographic Information System (ANAMGIS) at the Ministry of Lands in Awka, marking a major step in modernizing land administration in the state.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who announced the development, said the platform is designed to transform land management by streamlining processes and eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks.

According to the governor, ANAMGIS will empower citizens with vital information to safeguard their land rights, improve access to land-related data, and promote transparency in land transactions.

He noted that the system will offer greater security for title documents and enhance public engagement and accountability.

Governor Soludo expressed optimism that the initiative will further the state’s development goals, saying, “May Anambra continue to win!”
