Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has claimed that some of his colleagues in the movie industry engage in diabolical practices and have blackmailed him out of jealousy.
Anuku made the revelation during an interview on the ‘Nollywood Hardcore’ podcast with fellow actor Emma Labista. When asked about his relationship with colleagues, he responded by sharing his experiences, stating that envy and dark practices were present in the industry.
“In life, we must always keep space for falling down and standing up again. There was a bit of diabolism in the industry. Some people were diabolical, some were envious and jealous of my shine then. I was blackmailed,” Anuku said.
The actor’s comments have sparked reactions, with many recalling past controversies surrounding Nollywood’s inner workings.
