Kidnappers Use Late Venerable Achi’s Facebook to Taunt Public, Post Photos of His Family Still in Captivity

Date:

Tension is rising online after kidnappers, who are still holding his family, hijacked the Facebook account of the late Venerable Edwin Achi and shared photos of his wife and daughter.

The Anglican priest was tragically abducted alongside his family on October 28 from their home in Kaduna State. Although the family managed to raise the ransom, the priest was killed last month, and the family was later instructed to retrieve his decomposing body.

In a disturbing twist, new photos of his wife and daughter suddenly appeared on his Facebook page, allegedly posted by the abductors who are still holding them.

The move has left Nigerians worried about the wellbeing of the surviving family members and has sparked calls for urgent intervention from security agencies. As of now, there is no official update on rescue efforts.

The situation has drawn strong public condemnation:

A commentator wrote, “This is extremely heartbreaking. God please keep the wife and daughter safe.”

Another wrote, “These kidnappers don’t fear anything again. Using his own Facebook account? This is wickedness.”
