Moment Bride and Groom Fight Publicly Over Male Guest

Date:

A Nigerian couple’s wedding reception descended into chaos after a disagreement over a male guest escalated into a public fight.

The drama began when a young man from the neighborhood arrived during the dance, prompting the bride to immediately jump up and hug him. The man was reportedly the same person the groom had previously warned his wife not to associate with.

After the man gave the bride a gift and left, the groom confronted his new wife, demanding to know who invited the man and warning her not to bring the gift into their home.

The bride angrily shouted back, insisting: “I am your wife and not your slave; you can’t tell me who to associate with,”.

The argument became physical when the groom slapped his wife, prompting her to retaliate by slapping him on the chest. The husband then briefly calmed down but later angrily left the reception and did not return until the event was over.

The public showdown has led to online debate over who was at fault:

@KOlatunbosun wrote: “They are both to be blamed… the lady shouldn’t have responded rudely. She could have calmly explained to her husband,”.

@felixwise added: “I blame both of them for not submitting their relationship to a professional counselor who could have seen this coming,”.

@iamEdoama quipped: “After seeing the video of them fighting, I just want to know who would win!”.
