Miss Prisca Ezeugwu of Lorreto Special Science School, Adazi-Nnukwu, has emerged as the overall winner of the Anambra State SMASE Africa – IDK Mathematics Championship held in Awka.
In the middle category, Master Kamsiyochukwu Anigbogu of Divine Race British School, Obosi, secured the top position, while Master Obinna Nwigwe of Ridge Valley Academy, Awka, won in the junior category.
The three winners, who each received brand-new computers, expressed gratitude to the event organizers, their parents, and teachers for the opportunity to showcase their skills.
Speaking on the purpose of the championship, the Chief Executive Officer of Integral Development Konsult Learning Centre (IDK), Mrs. Chinwe Nweke, emphasized the importance of mathematics as the foundation of science and technology. She explained that the competition aims to strengthen mathematics and science education in Anambra while preparing students for future global competitions.
